Health Assessments

Immunisation

The risk of complications from childhood diseases like measles is much higher than the risks of immunisation. Vaccination protects against infection, saves lives and protects those who are too young or too sick to be immunised. We are accredited for administering yellow fever vaccinations. We have a range of travel vaccinations available on site. Our practice complies with Australian Standards, and is fully accredited for the storage of immunisations and vaccinations. We are accredited to provide:

Medical Examinations

Patients may be required to have a medical examination for employment, insurance or renewing a vehicle/driver licence. This is where we can help:

Preventative Health and Education

STD (Sexually Transmissible Disease) Checks

PREGNANCY ULTRASOUND (Baby Scan)

Pregnancy Checkups - Ultrasound

World Square CBD Medical Centre has introduced a new Pregnancy Ultrasound (Baby Scan) service.

Ultrasound is used during pregnancy to check that your pregnancy is progressing as expected and that your baby is healthy. It also helps to check the baby's development and to pick up any abnormalities. It is important for you to have regular check-ups with our doctor during pregnancy.

• The baby's size and age
• Whether you are pregnant with multiple babies
• Confirming the stage of the pregnancy
• Checking the position of the placenta
• Checking the amount of amniotic fluid surrounding the baby in the womb
• Checking the baby’s growth and physical development
• Diagnosing birth defects and/or hereditary conditions
• Checking the baby’s position before delivery

ALLIED HEALTH SERVICES

If you need to cancel an appointment with the dietitian or the psychologist, please ensure that it is 24 hours prior to the booking. If you cancel within 24 hours of the appointment there is a $30-$50 cancellation fee. 

Dietitian

Our qualified dietician will give you dietary advice, an effective program and assist you with the management of diet and nutrition, which is critical to your overall health and well-being. If you have any concerns about your weight or have trouble maintaining a healthy diet, please come and talk to our doctors at Square Medical Centre. Please ensure you see our doctor to obtain a referral and if eligible, a Care Plan. Patients who are eligible for a Care Plan under Medicare will have access to a number of bulk-billed (no GAP) dietician appointments. Private patients are also welcome.

Psychological Counselling

See your GP to obtain a referral and Mental Health Care Plan. Psychologist services are privately-billed, but Medicare rebates are available with a valid Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. Private patients are also welcome. Our Registered Psychologist can provide counselling relating to:
